The 26 mile round trip gave me the chance to tell <em>Big Oil<\/em><em><\/em>&nbsp;that I\u2019m not their biatch (today). The ride also gave me a chance to make some observations&#8230;<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1528\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1528\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/bikrocosm.com\/\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/05\/sumneytown-pike1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1528\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/bikrocosm.com\/\/\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/05\/sumneytown-pike1.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"288\"\/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-1528\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Big climb on Rt. 63, Green Lane, Pa.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<ul>\n<li>People in cars are very courteous and respectful of cyclists on the morning commute. I experienced more aggression from the groundhog that almost bit my tire than I did from any drivers.<\/li>\n<li>People in cars are very discourteous and disrespectful toward cyclists on their evening commute.<\/li>\n<li>Dump trucks suck.<\/li>\n<li>Pre-ride preparation makes all the difference. Bringing a change of clothing, packing a lunch, and making sure the bike is ready to go the day before the ride is a smart idea. Maybe next time I&#8217;ll remember to do that.<\/li>\n<li>A half dozen road riders passed me, and let me draft for a few miles before turning off.
