Launch will be hangin’ with Community Bikes and Boards at the 2012 Endurance Sports Expo in Oaks PA. Look for the out-of-shape dudes without Spandex.
2012 Opening Weekend = Saturday 4/21 – Sunday 4/22
These dates are TENTATIVE.
If the snow melts, and the mountain dries in time, the trails will be open.

GES/ Launch Bike Park 2012 Dual Series
SPRING MOUNTAIN, PA – Dual racing is back in the Northeast for 2012! The Gravity East Series (GES) and Launch Bike Park at Spring Mountain Ski Area will be partnering to build a dual slalom course and host a series for the 2012 race season. This is a separate series from the Gravity East Downhill Series.
The course will be designed and built by Patricio Mercado, Jason Beckley and the Launch Bike Park and GES crews. Construction will commence in early spring 2012, weather permitting, with the first race to be held upon completion. A tentative schedule will be released later this winter.
“We are very excited to be a part of bringing back a dual series to the Northeast in 2012,” stated Dieter Ward, Gravity East Series board member and former series director. “The course is being designed and built for all skill levels, from beginner to pro categories, and will incorporate both mountain bike and BMX features. Launch Bike Park’s close proximity to Philadelphia, New York and New Jersey makes it easily accessible to a large number of riders. The course will be an integral part of the Launch Bike Park trail system and will always be available to ride.”

2011 Season ends November 13th
Saturday, November 12th and Sunday November 13th will be the last weekend to Launch.

Gravity East is still a few weeks away but people are starting to check the course.

Volunteers wanted…
The Gravity East race weekend at Launch is Saturday the 17th and Sunday the 18th. There will be hundreds of riders at the mountain and we’re going to need a little extra help.
We need GUIDES to answer questions, lead trail rides, and monitor trails for injured riders. We also need COURSE MARSHALS to monitor the race for injuries.
If you are available on the 17th or 18th or both and are interested in representing Launch as a Guide, please let Jen know ASAP!
Requirements:
* You must attend a Mandatory GES GUIDE meeting on Sunday September 11th at 5:00 PM
* You can not participate in the race the day that you are volunteering
* You must know the Park
* You must have a great personality!
